The outpatient ambulatory service I will examine is Children s National Medical Center located in Rockville, Maryland. This office was open four years ago and offers a wide range of services to the pediatric population. It includes full service imaging department, offering MRI, CAT scan, Ultra Sound, and Diagnostic X-ray. In addition, there is: †¢ Diabetic Clinic †¢ Orthopedic surgery and clinic †¢ Pulmonary specialist †¢ Mental and behavior health service †¢ Gastroenterologist †¢ Genetics †¢ ENT †¢ Allergist †¢ Rehabilitation services †¢ Rheumatologists †¢ Hematology and Oncologists †¢ Endocrinologist Children s National Medical Center have a name brand that is recognized and having this free standing ambulatory service help the organization capitalized on a market previously not services. At this facility, the patient population from as far as Hagerstown, Pennsylvania and Virginia is service. This is so because the organization have identified and addressed barriers to efficient and customer focused ambulatory care services and operations. This include, long wait times to schedule an appointment, high occupancy rates in the hospital settings, ease of access not to exclude parking availability. Johnson, T. K.
